Under California law, dogs that are over four months old must be vaccinated against rabies. While presently not required by law, this vaccine is highly recommended for cats, too. We also recommend core vaccines to protect your pets against diseases like parvovirus, feline calicivirus, distemper, and many others. We’ll discuss your pet’s unique needs during their appointment.

We often recommend additional vaccines based on certain lifestyle factors. Known as lifestyle vaccines, they protect pets from things like Bordetella. We’ll ask questions to assess your pet’s needs, but let us know if you travel with your furry friend, spend a lot of time in wooded areas, or take them to places where there are other animals, such as groomers, boarding facilities, dog parks, etc. Providing accurate information regarding your pet’s lifestyle and potential risk factors helps us recommend the vaccines that best suit their needs.
