DIAGNOSTICS &
ULTRASOUND

When your dog or cat is sick or injured, every second counts.

In many cases, treatment cannot be started until the vet has a clear understanding of exactly what is going on. At Parkview Pet Hospital, we have advanced diagnostic equipment that enables our veterinarians to get to the root of many problems in a matter of minutes. Whether your pet needs lab tests or diagnostic imaging, we have state-of-the-art equipment that allows us to provide accurate in-house diagnostic testing. When every second matters, count on us for diagnostics and ultrasound in Long Beach.

We also have a mobile cardiologist, Dr. Danielle Yuhas, who visits the clinic to perform ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, and echocardiograms for pets. She is also available for phone consultations following appointments to go over test results. We are thrilled to be able to offer these advanced diagnostic services at our location.

OUR DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES

In some situations, a regular exam will tell us everything we need to know about your pet.
In other instances, though, additional testing is required. At Parkview Pet Hospital, we have a full-service laboratory that allows us to do bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal testing in-house. These tests tell us a great deal about your pet’s health, and doing this testing in-house allows us to get results almost immediately.

When we need to take a closer look inside your pet’s body, we may need to take x-rays or perform an ultrasound. We use digital x-ray equipment for dental x-rays and to examine your pet’s bones, tendons, etc. Ultrasound imaging is typically used when we need to see inside a dog or cat’s organs.

For blood pressure monitoring and cardiac issues, we rely on Dr. Danielle Yuhas. A mobile cardiologist, she visits Parkview Pet Hospital to provide a wide range of diagnostic services for our patients.
